Real guest-room occupancy, not just a key card in the slot
Key card and simple motion sensors are easy to fool a card left in the slot, or a guest who's been sitting still for a few minutes, both read as "vacant" or trigger a lighting cut-out. Kadan's accommodation sensor solution detects real presence, including someone asleep or completely still, by reading subtle movement such as breathing so it can't be tricked the way a card-in-slot system can.
That accurate occupancy data lets lighting, heating and air conditioning respond automatically: energy use drops in genuinely empty rooms, and the room is already comfortable the moment a guest returns.
