Description

The Steinel HPD2 KNX Presence Detector is a cutting-edge optical sensor designed to provide precise detection and counting of individuals in professional indoor environments. With its 110° detection angle and a maximum range of 10 metres, it can monitor up to 5 independently adjustable zones, making it ideal for use in conference rooms, open-plan offices, and lecture halls. This unique technology compares 150,000 positive and 7 million negative images in real time, allowing it to differentiate between sitting and standing individuals, which is especially useful for accurate space management and desk usage optimisation.

Integrated with KNX systems, the HPD2 allows for intelligent control of lighting, HVAC, and other environmental factors. The sensor includes temperature and humidity measurement, further enhancing its utility in modern building management. Designed for surface or corner installation, the HPD2 is built for ease of use and flexibility, ensuring precise monitoring without sacrificing design.
