Sonos integration coming to 1Home IoT Gateway

Assign KNX group addresses to Sonos controls and configure them in ETS as native KNX devices.

*The integration uses the official Sonos Cloud API which means that the integration requires an active internet connection. All security keys related to your Sonos account are stored locally on the 1Home device - no Sonos user keys are stored in the 1Home Cloud. The integration works with all Sonos S2 devices (e.g. Sonos Move, Symfonisk, ...).

Make Matter IoT devices work natively within KNX

Control devices like Philips Hue, IKEA, NUKI, Nanoleaf, Eltako, Shelly and 100s of others from any popular KNX mobile app, push button or tablet.

Configure in three simple steps

1 Pair Matter device to 1Home

Simply scan the Matter QR setup code and get your Matter device into the 1Home Dashboard.

Fully merge two of the biggest open smart home standards

Matter is a fast-growing open standard that ensures seamless compatibility between devices across ecosystems.

New devices are added monthly, offering continuous expansion. The system is fully local and data-private, ensuring secure, cloud-free communication. Popular Matter devices include Philips Hue smart lights, Eve Energy smart plugs, August smart locks, and Aqara Motion Sensors. With hundreds of devices available and more arriving regularly, Matter offers vast opportunities for integration into KNX systems.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between 1Home Server and 1Home Bridge?

There are a couple of key differences between the Bridge and the Server.

Both devices bridge KNX devices to smart assistants, but 1Home Server does this using Matter - the future-proof local-first open standard which all of the assistants are migrating to and are using as their core smart home protocol.

1Home Server runs completely locally (with the exception of the KNX ETS auto-detection feature) and is built to run without the cloud. 1Home Bridge still depends on the 1Home cloud to some extent, mostly due to the requirements of the older proprietary assistant integrations.

The 1Home Server also comes with powerful in-house designed hardware and with greater performance on which we have added more demanding functionality such as 1Home Automations.

What is Matter?

Matter is an open standard for smart home technology that allows interoperability between any Matter-certified devices using a single protocol. The standard is already widely adopted and its fast growth is backed by industry leaders like Apple, Google, Amazon, Samsung, Philips, Eve, etc.

Matter unifies all smart home assistants (Apple, Google, Samsung, Alexa, etc.) to a single protocol giving the consumer the ability to choose their preferred smart home assistant ecosystem.

Are there any monthly fees?

No, we do not charge monthly recurring fees.

What is your return policy?

You can request a refund of your order within the first 30 days since the order was delivered to you. Once the 30 days have passed since delivery, you will not be offered a refund and/or exchange of any kind. After discussing the refund with our support agents you have to ship the order back within the next 10 days. Learn more in our return policy.

How do I configure the 1Home Server?

The configuration is as simple as plug-and-play. You need no prior KNX ETS knowledge or special software. You also don't need to have an ETS license. All configuration is done via the local web dashboard. You can learn more here .

Does the 1Home Server require an internet connection?

1Home Server works locally; if you remove it from the internet, it won't even notice. Both KNX and Matter also don't require an internet connection so your home will always continue to work without interruptions. The only exception is KNX automatic ETS detection and remote access which do require an active internet connection.

What kind of power supply can I use with the 1Home Server?

There are two ways how to power the device:

1. Using an auxiliary 12-30 VDC power supply. If your KNX power supply offers an auxiliary output, you can use it with the 1Home Server. Just be sure that the capacity of the auxiliary power supply is enough for the device.

2.DC barrel power supply. 12V 1A is the minimum, but to be safe, we recommend using a 12V 2A DC barrel power supply.

Does the 1Home Server support Thread?

The 1Home Server doesn't contain wireless Thread connectivity, but it can communicate to Thread devices via third-party Thread border routers (Apple Homepod, Google Nest, etc.)
