Complement your KNX home with thousands of Smart Assistant supported wireless devices

KNX smart homes are great but you might find yourself stuck in a wired world as it is really hard to integrate other products. And while KNX is definitely a reliable and long-lasting technology there is a whole new world of exciting wireless devices for music, security, cleaning, and more. You have one smart home - and you should only have one mobile app for controlling it. It is not surprising to end up using 5 mobile apps for managing different smart devices. With Apple Home app, you can centralize them all in a single, sleek mobile app that is really friendly to use. It can also be used to access your home remotely from anywhere, anytime.

With geofencing you can trigger automation based on location

A geofence is an invisible boundary, a virtual perimeter for a real-world geographic area. For example, with geofencing you can create triggers so that when a device enters or leaves the pre-defined boundaries, a device turns on. This way a nicely lit house can await you when you come back from work.

Why choose 1Home Bridge?

Automatic configuration process, now 10x faster

We have put 6-years of engineering into developing a state of the art AI algorithm that will automatically sync your KNX configuration with 1Home out of an existing ETS project file. No time-consuming and stressful double-work copying KNX addresses. On average algorithm will take care of 80% of the work while the rest you can manually configure in our dashboard as any other visualisation server.

User friendly dashboard

In the 1Home dashboard you manage your smart home, your smart assistants, name/rename your devices and disable devices you don't want to share with smart assistants.

Professional support team

All our products are set up with no technical knowledge but if you need any advice our support & engineering team is happy to help.

Different installation options to suit your use-case

The 1Home Bridge can be installed either DIN-rail in your electrical cabinet by your smart home integrator or if you are already living in a KNX smart home and have an existing KNX IP Interface installed you can install 1Home Bridge in a retrofit way via POE adapter.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between 1Home Server and 1Home Bridge?

There are a couple of key differences between the Bridge and the Server.

Both devices bridge KNX devices to smart assistants, but 1Home Server does this using Matter - the future-proof local-first open standard which all of the assistants are migrating to and are using as their core smart home protocol.

1Home Server runs completely locally (with the exception of the KNX ETS auto-detection feature) and is built to run without the cloud. 1Home Bridge still depends on the 1Home cloud to some extent, mostly due to the requirements of the older proprietary assistant integrations.

The 1Home Server also comes with powerful in-house designed hardware and with greater performance on which we have added more demanding functionality such as 1Home Automations.

What is Matter?

Matter is an open standard for smart home technology that allows interoperability between any Matter-certified devices using a single protocol. The standard is already widely adopted and its fast growth is backed by industry leaders like Apple, Google, Amazon, Samsung, Philips, Eve, etc.

Matter unifies all smart home assistants (Apple, Google, Samsung, Alexa, etc.) to a single protocol giving the consumer the ability to choose their preferred smart home assistant ecosystem.

Are there any monthly fees?

No, we do not charge monthly recurring fees.

What is your return policy?

You can request a refund of your order within the first 30 days since the order was delivered to you. Once the 30 days have passed since delivery, you will not be offered a refund and/or exchange of any kind. After discussing the refund with our support agents you have to ship the order back within the next 10 days. Learn more in our return policy.

How do I configure the 1Home Server?

The configuration is as simple as plug-and-play. You need no prior KNX ETS knowledge or special software. You also don't need to have an ETS license. All configuration is done via the local web dashboard. You can learn more here .

Does the 1Home Server require an internet connection?

1Home Server works locally; if you remove it from the internet, it won't even notice. Both KNX and Matter also don't require an internet connection so your home will always continue to work without interruptions. The only exception is KNX automatic ETS detection and remote access which do require an active internet connection.

What kind of power supply can I use with the 1Home Server?

There are two ways how to power the device:

1. Using an auxiliary 12-30 VDC power supply. If your KNX power supply offers an auxiliary output, you can use it with the 1Home Server. Just be sure that the capacity of the auxiliary power supply is enough for the device.

2.DC barrel power supply. 12V 1A is the minimum, but to be safe, we recommend using a 12V 2A DC barrel power supply.

Does the 1Home Server support Thread?

The 1Home Server doesn't contain wireless Thread connectivity, but it can communicate to Thread devices via third-party Thread border routers (Apple Homepod, Google Nest, etc.)
